Children

Welcome! It is our desire to partner with and support families showing each child how to love God's world, be in God's family, and live in the joy of God's gospel.

Join Us!

If you are new, we encourage you to check in at the children's welcome desk in the main building where volunteers can help direct you to your children's classes.

CHildren's Ministry News:

Electronic Sign-In System
We are now using an electronic sign-in system that will increase safety for the kids and help us connect with our families better. Parents must sign in all children in at the Welcome Desk before dropping off at their classroom. Thank you!

BackPack Program: NON PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS NEEDED

The BackPack Program partners with Henderson County Schools to help provide supplemental food during the school year to children who are not receiving regular meals at home. Backpacks filled with non-perishable foods are sent home with children each week to help provide those needs.

We are collecting non-perishable foods in child-friendly packaging at GMR. Collection bins are on the Children’s hallways. For more information contact Christen Stewart:

Weekly Sunday Mornings in Children's Ministry

Preschool Ages: Birth - Pre K

Loving care is given to all children, but especially babies through 4-year olds since separation from parents can sometimes be difficult. Children "move up" from the baby to toddler room as they are able to walk independently and sit for a snack and short Bible story.  2-4 year old children move up each August as the new school year begins.  Weekly interactive Bible lessons begin at age two which include songs, crafts, activities, and dramatic play.

Elementary Classes: Kindergarten - 5th Grade

K-3 students participate in a Bible lesson that includes creative arts, free play, and  hands-on activities.

4th & 5th grade students dig deeper into God's word, preparing for the transition into youth ministry.

Opportunities to Serve

There is always room for more volunteers in Children's Ministry! Please contact us if you are interested in teaching, helping, greeting at the welcome desk, or working behind the scenes. We can work with your schedule (once a month, once a quarter, weekly, bi-weekly) and in your area/age of interest and passion. This is a wonderful way to connect with others while serving the children and families of Grace!

Children’s Ministry Buddies
We are looking for one-on-one buddies to serve with our kids in the children’s ministry on Sunday mornings. If you would like to help and work alongside one of our kids during our weekly Sunday services, please email for more information.
